District Use of Automated Text Message Service
Effective Date: February 1, 2025
You may from time to time receive automated text messages from the District. You will not receive any unsolicited messages from our texting number.
Text Messaging is a standard-rate-one-off (1 message/request) and subscription alert service focused on providing users with 2-way communication, support, news and billing information through SMS & MMS messages, alerts, polls, and content. Message and data rates may apply.
DISTRICT CUSTOMER OPT-IN
You do not have to sign up to receive automated text messages from the District, nor is your consent a condition of use of this service. Your affiliation with a District water account constitutes your agreement to receiving automated text messages from the District. This service is not intended for children under 13, and information will not knowingly be collected from children under the age of 13.
CONSUMER FEES
The District will not charge to receive or reply to text messages. However, your mobile service plan may have rates that apply.

o Sprint does not support standard rate video
o Boost, VMU & Nextel do not support MMS services
WARRANTY
The District will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of any SMS messages. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider/network operator.
